Cultura
Sigma Omega Nu was founded as a Latina Interest Sorority, which is why we support cultural diversity. Although our roots are Latina Based, our membership is non-exclusive and we are very proud of our highly diverse membership. Across all chapters, we recognize and embrace our sisters' individual differences in political, religious beliefs, socio-economic status', sexual orientations, and other ideologies pertaining to their ethnic backgrounds. We celebrate these differences by hosting and participating in the following:

CultureFest
The sisters of Sigma Omega Nu participate every year in CultureFest, a celebration of diversity through culture, food, and community.

Day of the Dead Celebration
The Multicultural Center at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo hosts a Dia De Los Muertos celebration, where Latinx culture is celebrated.

Poly Cultural Weekend
Every year Sunnies are honored to participate in Polycultural Weekend to show incoming minority students that they can have a home away from home if they do decide to become Cal Poly Mustangs. We had an amazing time getting to know our hostees and showing them the Cal Poly campus.

Fundraisers
Throughout the year we have multiple fundraisers where we aim to bring our culture to campus. This past school year we had a Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Virtual Bingo Fundraiser.

Parent's Banquet
Our Parent's Banquet gives us the opportunity to bring our families together and introduce them to our Sunnie Familia.
