AVID - Advancement Via Individual Determination
Each chapter of Sigma Omega Nu works closely with a program or organization they strongly feel a connection with. The Founding Chapter of Sigma Omega Nu is working closely with the AVID program at Righetti High School in Santa Maria. Our sisters drive out to the High School and facilitate workshops for AVID students in regards to higher education. We will continue to work closely with the AVID program and be a resource to their students.
In addition facilitating workshops, the sisters of Sigma Omega Nu are working hard to provide a scholarship to these AVID students.
Community Service | Involvement on Campus
In addition to working closely with our philanthropy, we love to give back to the community. Our surrounding communities are incredibly important to us, therefore we make a great effort to attend different events.
