Sigma Omega Nu's first and primary objective is Academics. We highly prioritize Academics by providing many tools to our members and our community. The sorority continuously seeks new ways of promoting academics excellence. Some of the ways we help accomplish this is by:
Learn By Doing
Our members at Cal Poly follow the "Learn by doing" motto! We take many labs and courses that provide hands-on learning to help us in our fields!
Study Hours
The sisters of Sigma Omega Nu are required to document a minimum of 6 study hours each week.
Alpha Order Academic Honor Society
Every quarter sisters are recognized for maintaining a 3.0+ cumulative GPA
Professional Development
Sisters are required to attend a minimum of one professional development event per quarter.
Big/Little Program
The mentorship program is an opportunity for sisters to lean on each other in every area of life. Big sisters guide their Littles through the sorority and academically
